For many people, a cake is simply part of a celebration.
For me, it became a way to transform feelings into something people could see, share, and remember.
Over the years, I found myself asking a different question before every design:
"What does this person love the most?"
The answers were never about colors, shapes, or decorations.
They were about love, memories, achievements, family, friendship, and the moments that matter most.
The more I listened, the more I realized that the most meaningful designs were never created from a reference photo.
They were created from emotion.
That belief became the foundation of Chef Touq.
WHY CHEF TOUQ EXISTS
As I spent more years in the cake industry, I began to notice something that never felt right.
Many cakes were treated as products.
A theme.
A color.
A photo reference.
An order to complete.
But the people behind those orders were never just another order.
They were celebrating someone they loved.
A graduation, a birthday, a wedding, a milestone, or a memory.
The more I listened to customers, the more I felt that every meaningful celebration deserved more than a copied design.
It deserved intention.
That belief stayed with me throughout my journey and eventually became the foundation of Chef Touq.
A cake should not begin with a picture.
It should begin with a person.
THE DECISION
For years, I carried that belief with me while working in cake shops.
But something never felt right.
The focus was often on completing orders, following references, and moving on to the next request.
Yet I kept finding myself drawn to a different part of the process.
The conversation.
The story.
The person behind the celebration.
I wanted to understand who the cake was for, what they loved, what they had achieved, and why the moment mattered.
Because the more I listened, the more I realized that the design itself was only part of the experience.
On August 1st, 2019, I made a decision.
To build something around people before products.
Around meaning before decoration.
Around emotion before trends.
That decision became Chef Touq.
